Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Vanessa is bilingual in English and Spanish. 

She graduated from South Texas College in 2012 with an associate’s degree in Respiratory Care and plans to continue furthering her education. 

Vanessa spent the last 10 years working for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Ambulatory Surgical Center. She was responsible for care and equipment education for the adult and pediatric populations in ER, ICU, Neuro ICU, and MICU. 

She also worked for Knapp Medical Center in 2020 part-time where she not only cared for adults and pediatrics, but neonates as well. Vanessa had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside and assist an amazing team of doctors with bedside bronchoscopy procedures. 

And for most of 2020-2021, she worked the front lines caring for COVID 19 patients. 

Vanessa is thrilled to now be a part of the Wave Healthcare team.
